Fundraising Event Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before registering for or participating in any fundraising event for Support Through Court.

When you are accepted to participate in a Support Through Court event, a legal contract is formed between you (the Participant) and Support Through Court. Support Through Court may also have a separate legal relationship with third-party organisers of events.

The principal purpose of your participation in an Event is to raise funds to support Support Through Court’s charitable work, including providing practical support and guidance to individuals before, during, and after court proceedings, such as those experiencing divorce, child arrangements disputes, or housing insecurity.

These terms and conditions apply from the point of registration and remain in force until the Event has concluded and any applicable fundraising obligations have been fulfilled.

By ticking “ACCEPT”, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, you must not proceed with registration or fundraising.

You are advised to retain a copy of these terms for your records.

Ticket Fees contribute towards the costs of delivering the event and are normally non-refundable, except as set out below.

Subject to availability and prior approval, tickets may be transferred to another attendee if requested in writing at least one week before the event.
We may not always advertise the exact venue of our events, until a guest has purchased a ticket. Guests will receive details on the location at least one week prior to the event.

  • Challenge Events within 14 days of registration for a refund of the Registration Fee

    Fee

Refunds will not be issued if the Event has already taken place.

Requests to cancel Third Party Events must be made directly to the Third Party Organiser.

If a Participant does not take part in an Event for any reason, any donations already received by the Charity are treated as gifts and are normally non-refundable.

Deferrals may be permitted in exceptional circumstances, such as illness or bereavement, subject to approval. Participants may be asked to contribute towards any increased or irrecoverable costs.

If the Charity cancels an Event, Registration or Ticket Fees will be refunded using the original payment method where possible.

Participants must comply with all applicable laws and act in a manner consistent with the Charity’s values. Conduct that is unlawful, inappropriate, or damaging to the Charity’s reputation may result in removal from an Event at the Charity’s discretion.

Participants must ensure donors are informed where donations may be used to cover Event costs.

Donations are treated as irrevocable gifts to the Charity once received.

Participants must comply with fundraising law, licensing requirements, and data protection obligations, and must inform the Charity before holding raffles or public fundraising events.

Gift Aid does not count towards fundraising targets.
