Support Through Court is grateful for all donations and support we receive. As a charity, we aim to use funds efficiently and in furtherance of our charitable purposes. This policy explains the limited circumstances in which refunds will be considered.
Donations
Donations are normally non-refundable. However, we will consider a refund where a donation has been made in error, including where:
- A donation has been made more than once (for example, duplicate payments)
- An incorrect amount has been donated due to a genuine mistake
- A donation was made without the donor’s authorisation
Requests for a refund must be made as soon as reasonably possible and include sufficient information to allow us to identify the original transaction. Where a refund is agreed, it will normally be returned using the original payment method.
Event tickets
Refunds for event tickets or paid bookings will be considered where:
- An event is cancelled by Support Through Court
- A booking has been made in error or charged incorrectly
Where a refund is issued for tickets or bookings, any non-refundable processing or transaction fees
charged to the charity by third-party providers may be deducted from the refunded amount.
Processing fees
Support Through Court incurs transaction and processing fees when donations or ticket payments are made. Where a refund is issued, we reserve the right to deduct any irrecoverable fees that have been charged to the charity, unless the refund arises from an error made by Support Through Court.
How to request a refund
Refund requests should be made by contacting: fundraising@supportthroughcourt.org
Please include your name, the date and amount of the donation or payment, and the reason for the request.
Final decision
All refund decisions are made at the discretion of Support Through Court and in line with our charitable duties. This policy does not affect a donor’s statutory rights where applicable.
