We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Out of Hours pilot, expanding access to support for people navigating the court system without legal representation.
From Thursday 5 November, appointments will be available through Support Through Court Online on Thursday evenings between 4.30pm and 7.30pm. The pilot has been introduced to help people who may find it difficult to access support during standard opening hours due to work, caring responsibilities or other commitments.
Available to anyone across England and Wales, the Out of Hours Service will provide the same free practical, emotional and digital support that thousands of litigants in person rely on each year. Appointments will be delivered remotely through our online service, making it easier for people to access assistance at a time that works for them.
The pilot forms part of our ongoing commitment to improving access to justice and ensuring that more people can receive support when facing court proceedings.
Charlotte Rook, our Head of Service Delivery said:
“By extending our opening hours through this pilot, we’re making it easier for people to access support to navigate the court process when they need it most. We hope it will help remove barriers to seeking support and improve access to justice for people across the country who find it difficult to access our service due to work hours or caring responsibilities.”
